ALPHA (Medical)
One day it hits you that you re aging. Time brings about a physical change in us all and soon we realize our 50-year old body is not functioning as it once did in our 20s. Whether we have received a negative diagnosis or just feel negative changes, Alpha offers help. This program is available for those facing specific physical challenges or those having interest in maintaining the best possible health. The Clinics Family Practitioner, in collaboration with various (volunteer) physicians in the St. Louis area, has joined together to provide such a program for those in need.
Through our Alpha program, information is given in a classroom setting to enhance and promote longevity of life. Various topics include, but are not limited to, combating high-risk diseases, stress-management, behavior and eating disorders, chemical/substance abuse, and more. In addition, certain classes have been strategically categorized to address needs associated with the elderly and topics applicable to youth.
Alpha's future expansion will include medical exams, physicals, water/message therapy, consultation and extensive medical referrals.

CLINIC WORSHIP
This service is held on Saturday evenings only. It addresses only the spiritual part of our Center and ever effort is made to help you become closer to the presence of Jesus Christ. The music is radical, the messages are stimulating and we encourage you to bring your Bible and a pillow if you like sitting/lying on the floor. Its a sensitive place where the clock stops and ministers and co-laborers are available just for you. No need for fancy attire, no special seating, or embarrassing moments. Just an invitation to enter, find a place in the room and RELAX! Here is one of many reports received weekly:
I was invited to come to The Clinic worship service by a relative. I am a church member and was use to going to church, but a little uneasy about this place because of the name. I didnt know what to expect, but she was so excited to bring me until my expectations were a bit high. All I can really say is that it was wonderful. The room was electrified with the presence of God and they made no mistake in rushing through anything. I left feeling restored and closer to the Lord.?
Schedule: Saturday Evenings 6:00pm Prayer / 7:00pm Worship

MISSIONS
2 Persons were delegated and made
the trip to Uganda Africa
August 21st thru September 2nd 2006
Through funds and labor of the Center and Wilma and the Messengers many have been helped in foreign countries. They continue to provide direct support through benevolence, shipments and hands-on ministry to those in Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and Barbados. Future schedules include their support in Haiti and part of Africa. Wilma Walker did an interview and The Ministry was recently featured in M.I.N.E Magazine (2004) She was quoted:
My first trip was quite overwhelming. We decided to visit the remote parts of the world so that our giving would help the greatest. We had opportunity to stay in air-conditioned and better facilities, which would have been slightly similar to America, but opt to toughen it out. This decision took us through allies and roads not visited by many, the opportunity to touch the untouchable, speak to the abandoned, and feed many who had not eaten for days. One day we positioned ourselves under a small pavilion in a park and began to sing. What I thought were scattered brown limbs laying on the ground in a distance began to slowly move. They were not limbs at all, but men. Skinny, skinny, men. Many, if not all, dying from the various diseases of their poverty stricken country. They heard the music and began to come our way. Weakened from their conditions, some could barely move. It was wonderful that we were able to not only clothe and feed them, but also minister the grace and hope of Jesus Christ into their lives. Many of them I was sure would not be alive for our next visit. It was bittersweet. That day I witnessed that a hug and piece of bread goes a long way. Their smiles and nods of appreciation I will remember forever. Love is a powerful thing and giving hope changes the heart of men.
When that particular mission trip was over and I returned home, I remember entering my house and feeling so fortunate. I was too glad to be home. I had just left hot, infested huts, limited hours of water, food I was afraid to eat, and lizards running over my head as I slept. But here I was now in my brick home, sitting on my plush carpet, and looking at my Victorian lampshade. I was truly blessed, but not at peace. For days the pictures would replay in my head of what I had left behind. I didnt feel guilty for having all of my stuff nor did I have a great desire to relocate as a continued missionary, BUT there was a burden that I could certainly do something more. I knew I couldn?t change the world, but if we could just touch it a little bit. If we could just have a family or village receive a little of what we enjoy abundantly every day. From those thoughts came An Evening in Africa. Our annual banquet to help others. A door and opportunity for other to give to someone else. Because of our efforts we now touch 7 nations and support the work of others who go when we are unable to.
We invite you to join in with our efforts and support the work of missions by supporting the Center and its Missions Outreach programs. You'll be so glad you did!

After enjoying a variety of delicacies, the staged entertainment is that of theatrics, creative dance, ballet and original poetry. Of course the evening concludes with music from Wilma and the Messengers. It is quite an evening and opportunity to imaginarily step inside another continent. PRISONS
Hey sister, how about singing Amazing Grace for me?? Over and over again this question came from the lips of an inmate as he whispered his request every month. He was on death row in one of the worse prisons in Missouri (Potosi) and he feared anyone hearing him ask such a thing. After all, he was respected in his cult and to have a desire to hear such an old religious tune would have been embarrassing. But he knew his days were numbered and the old melody somehow took his heart closer to making peace with God. Wilma played and sang it every month until that day. The day scheduled for his death.
The prison ministry is about making a difference. For over 30 combined years, we have provided services to the incarcerated and also to their families. On a regular basis our teams enter various prisons and level 5 correctional institutions. This charitable service is not only a benefit to the inmates, but also assistance and support to employed chaplains working within these facilities.
Music is an added treat for prison services, and because of its rarity, many institutions have allowed the Ministry to accommodate its speakers with a full band. We presently provide five regularly scheduled services within 3 chapels with an increase of 9 variety chapels within a year.
In addition, for the past 3 years we have combined our efforts with a similar ministry focusing yearly on touching children with incarcerated parents. In 2005 we were able to touch over 1300 children in one event.
The holidays often pose a challenge to families of the incarcerated. Our outreach to these families is provided throughout the year, but special effort is extended during the Christmas holidays. We continue to play a part in providing food vouchers, clothes, toys, etc. to these families.
If you would like to be a part of this outreach effort, donations can be given. Your gifts large or small are tax deductible and appreciated. Made payable to:
